On the weekend of the 14 through the 17th of November, the Annual meeting of 2024 for the Swedish Mountain Guides Association was held in Stockholm, Sweden. A total of 4 days filled with CPD, dinners, the annual SBO boulder competition, discussion day and the annual meeting amongst others.

Yet again, the organization could host the annual meeting at the wonderful location "Vinkelladan" provided by our main sponsor Fjällräven, nestled in a calm green area outside Stockholm.

The agenda for the 4 days looked like:

Day 1: CPD

Part 1: Prevention, rehab, training theory and tools to make the body last for longer career as a mountain guide will be on the program. Held by the trainer for the Swedish national alpine ski team.
Part 2: A breakdown of modern navigational tools (phones, apps, etc)

Day 2: CPD and evening boulder event with dinner

Part 1: A representative from the Swedish church regarding crisis management and the challenges the individual, friends and colleagues face when things turn bad.
Part 2: Manuel Genswein on avalanche rescue

In the evening we had the annual SBO bouldering competition (inoffically) at a local climbing gym with a dinner afterwards.

Day 3: Discussion day and the annual SBO gala dinner

Discussion day contains a lot of different topics, presentations, suggestions and presentations from different members.
