During these four days, 19 instructors, including the training directors, will work to further enhance the already excellent mountain guide training in South America, working together with pooled resources.

The goals include:

• Promoting inclusive training methods
• Encouraging women in mountain guiding.
• Optimizing the exchange of experience and collaboration among the five training centers.
• Making training more cost-effective and affordable through better organization and the “loan” of specialized trainers,

For the first time, the topic of  promoting inclusive training methods that encourages more women to become certified was discussed in a joint meeting between the 5 associations, and was attended by: Juliana Garcia (as the only IFMGA instructor in the region) and Angela Hawse through zoom (DT of the IFMGA ).
